How To Activate Your New Primary PS4 if Old Console Was Attached to Broken/Fixed PS4

Some people have been getting some issues with activating their new primary PS4 while their broken PS4 is getting fixed. If you happen to be one of these folks, you might see this pop up on your screen.

I was fortunate enough to mention this to the CS rep I spoke too when I was reporting my faulty ps4. I mentioned to her that I had activated the console as my primary and if she could deactivate it before I sent it in to them.

She did so and now when I receive the new system I can just activate it as my primary as if I never had the faulty one.

Didn't Sony allowed us to deactivate all our systems through the Sony website? Qriocity?

NarooN4194d ago

Yep, still works as far as I know. I had to do it last year to deactivate an old PS3 system that was dead forever.

Can I also deactivate my PS3 from the official site? My phat PS3 broke a week before Christmas four years ago. Got a Slim for Christmas, but I couldn't deactivate that Phatty. Since then, I had to go on my dad's account to download stuff from the movies section because my Master account won't let me download them.

It clearly states that you cannot deactivate a system from a pc or psp. Which is really retarded since then you're screwed.

I have to send mine out on Monday. They actually said I would get it back within a weeks time. I think theyre swapping them instead of repairing at this point. I'll just deactivate when I ship it out.

I'm thankful for Sony this Thanksgiving lol! Although only a minor problem, my ethernet port works intermittently. I've been using wireless to get by, but everyone knows wired is way better.

To this day, anyone that plays a GT game for the first time and doesn't have experience with this kind of game will crash at the first corner, so not really sure what Shu is claiming here. I literally saw this happen a few months ago at an event where they had GT7 with VR2 up on a stage and members of the public got to try it out.

I love Shuhei, but since he left you can’t shut him up! For so long he was an unofficial spokesman for PlayStation in that he was public facing and would regularly talk to the media, then he was moved and he was effectively silenced. I think this is him getting everything of his chest.

hes definitely alot more vocal lately ha

It’s probably a handful of interviews dissected into a 100 articles

Coming up next week on Yoshida Says.

In the first 3 minutes of the podcast, Yoshida instantly says that since he has left, he's showing up in various different podcasts.

I mean that's just honest right? Which means that he is self-aware of it and isn't acting like they all should be grateful.

He's 30+ years of Playstation, and probably 40 years of Sony. I am convinced he hasn't even scratched the stories and anecdotes yet he could actually tell.

Great guy! He's enjoying it.
