GTA IV Cheat Codes Revealed?

Enter one of the following codes during game play. A small box will appear to confirm correct code entry. Note: The following codes should be considered unconfirmed until the retail version of the game is available.

Weapons tier 1 Press R1, L2, R2, L1, Up, Down, Left, Right, Up.

Weapons tier 2 Press R1, L2, R2, L1, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up.

Weapon tier 3 Press R1, L2, R2, L1, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right(2).

Run quickly Press R1(2), Left, Right, L2, Square, Triangle, L1, Circle.

Never die Press R1, Circle(2), L2, R2, Triangle, X, L1, Right.

Health Press R1, L1, L2, Square, R2, Left, Right, Left, Right.

Money Press Up, Down, L1, L2, Left, Right, R1, R2, Square.

I think this will be the first gta game i will try completing without using any cheats, but after its complete there will be no stopping me.

One of the stats in the game is number of times cheated, I wonder if/how this has any effect on unlockables and rewards.

I've never cheated before hitting 100% tho and I'm not about to start now but damn the money cheat would be handy!

If you use cheats to beat GTA you are only cheating yourself.

I've beaten GTA III, VC, and SA without cheats. It's not that difficult. Afer getting 100% THEN I used cheats, and never saved after. I'm just that way, I guess.

I've have beaten every GTA without cheats. ONe because you are only cheating yourself. Two it's not even challenging if you use code. And three if you use codes and save it, the ending to your game will be different

You can complete the GTA games without cheats but there are quite a few missions which are just stupidly annoying and hard for that matter.

i was just thinking about cheats for the game I hope thats not it I really hope theres a flying cars,crazy pedestrians, and float on waters cheats they were reeeealy fun in the past gta games and gotta have the rhino tank

I don't think this is real cos rockstar have never put a 'never die' cheat in any GTA game (except the first) instead they have a full health and a full armour cheat so even cheating you can't just waltz through the game and then return it (though who would?)

I dont think the never is literal im thinking its an invincibilty cheat you can disable, for those that still want a challenge but need a quick boost in health theres the armor and health cheat.

Maybe thats true (I never played it on pc) but you have to admit, theres no point in playing a game where you can't lose, then it simply becomes a film. Some cheats can really make the game immense (like the liberty city survivor cheat-really hope that gets put into GTAIV), but then others can ruin the gameplay. Then again, if you're stuck on a mission or sumthing, then a cheat is invaluable. Its really a double edged sword

After playing GTA games for so long (unlocking all islands, options, etc) i like to enter the codes and just screw around. If i do so will i be able to go back to playing normally later on and get the rest of the achievements?

on the ps2 theres a cheat which makes you immune to bullets, but other things like falling, explosions and getting run over still hurt you

so far the game is proving pretty unforgiving, so the cheats will no doubt come in handy. the only one right now id even think about using, and im about 50% into the main storyline, is one for getting rid of wanted stars! the cops are so relentless and even with just a 2 star wanted its shockinly tricky to lose them! my only concern is that you cant unlock achievments with them on (quite rightly)

cheats can be fun for example I plan on using the ol "peds attack you" cheat to make my own I Am Legend scenario. :)

completely agree! its much more rewarding to complete a game by using your own skill and not be aided...atleast on the 1st play through anyway. i dont mind gta cheats when im just pissing about though

I work full time, I go to college, I am a husband and a father. With some games I use cheats to help me beat it quicker. Often I rent my games and have to have them back in a week. So if this means I suck. THEN I SUCK. But at least I still have time to progress in my personal life and get laid at night.

The question is if I use these codes is it going to affect the game? I used the codes for San Adreas and I couldn't beat the game. I got stuck on one mission. The one that I have to save the one dude from jumping off the side of a building.

I had the same thing happen with VC. The more and more you use the cheats the more crap will happen to the game. If you use them non stop it will ruin the game. If you use them only when you really need them the end will turn out fine.

These are not confirmed. And if they're real, than they're just a little part of the cheats in GTAIV. GTA-cheatcodes are mostly about fun. Like the 'Funhouse', or 'Ninja-theme' codes in San Andreas.
I never had problems finishing GTA games, I only used cheats to screw around, so they wouldn't affect my savegame.

I find the games more fun that way, when I keep dying on missions, it just gets frustrating having to do it over and over again. Cheats are acceptable in GTA games, Rockstar should print them in the manual from now on.

R2 by default is the accelerate/shoot shoulder button on the PS3. So I'd imagine the 360's is whatever button you press for those actions.

As I said below though, I believe these are bogus. I think the cheats are input as a phone number on the mobile.

From what I've heard the cheats are actually phone numbers to input in the mobile phone and not a sequence of buttons on the pad.

I said above I don't cheat until I get 100% so I can't try right now (I know you can cheat but not save in past games but I'm wondering if it autosaves because of the blatant "Times cheated" stat.)
