GameStop's Xbox One $10 Upgrade Program is Flawed

This video is for all of the Xbox One early adopters out there looking to upgrade your 360 copy of COD Ghosts to the Xbox One version. You might be paying more than the advertised $10 price tag.

The deal is actually this, you get 50$ in store credit when applied to the X1 version, therefore it will only cost u 9.99. Therefore if he goes to trade in the hardened edition, he will still get the 50$ As the disc is the same.... sorry to be a downer, but he clearly did not read the rules or simply think.

I remember reading that it was on standard edition games. It's not GameStops fault that somebody doesn't read instruction clearly.

Why the author generalized the Xbox one for this upgrade offer beats me, as the PS4 offered the same deals. As the guy above me said, its not Gamestops fault for not reading the directions of how the program works.

I exchanged my physical copy, got 50$ credit and paid the balance to get the PS4 Physical copy.

This sux but here is what you do, get the the reg version then return it for the store credit then get the addition you choose.. As long as you don't open it you're just returning a new game.

Can you even sell collectors edition of games to gamestop? I mean if you think about who would buy a used collectors edition of a game any way with half its goodies missing or used. I see no problem with this upgrade plan.

that's not entirely how it went down up here. WHen I was finishing paying for my XBox One, some dude just sauntered up to the counter and said, I can trade this in for $10 for COD for PS4 right? The guy says yep, a minute later he walked right out the door with his copy.

I upgraded bf4 for free to the ps4. I got it when it came out and there was this for every 50 dollars you spend you get 10 dollars deal going on. So I didn't cost me a cent to upgrade. I wasn't even aware of this promotion but I got lucky.
