Lens Of Truth - Sometimes franchises get old and start to feel familiar or weathered. That feeling sinks in throughout Call of Duty: Ghosts. Ghosts has a single-player campaign that feels like a love-child of a James Bond and Michael Bay movie, and its multiplayer, while competitive as ever, still feels so rehashed that it could easily be a Modern Warfare match with some minor tweaks to aesthetics and mechanics. This InFocus Review will tackle the good and the bad of Call of Duty: Ghosts, from the campaign to the thousands of players competing in online matches.

COD has a long and storied career. Launching as a PC WW2 first-person shooter, Call of Duty has gone through numerous makeovers and been on just about every system. The series has gone through some serious highs and tragic lows. I’ll be looking at each Call of Duty game, the good the bad, and the ugly."
Vanguard better be at the fkn bottom. Can’t believe ppl haven’t eviscerated that game with all its lacking
Will get disagrees but Infinite Warfare campaign was really good. Decent story, set pieces were amazing and if it didn't have the CoD game on it I'm sure people would have been more into it. Advanced Warfare was alright too. Titanfall 2 was just 1000 times better than both but I enjoyed them for their campaigns. I literally barely gaf about the story I'm in it for the set pieces and 5 hours of being stoned watching cool nonsense happen if I'm in the mood to play a CoD campaign. If I'm looking for a deep plot I'm gonna go somewhere else.
Ghosts was the worst story-wise though lol that cliffhanger ending was so bs.
Also MW 2019 was sick and is one of the best CoD games in yeeeears not sure why it's so low on this dude's list. Campaign was great, multiplayer was great and Warzone was fun for a while. Over it now but shrugs.
Beat the Vanguard campaign too but I can't even remember a single thing about it other than that it felt like it was 45 minutes long. Might be the most forgettable thing I've ever played lol just fully erased from my brain
Call of Duty multiplayer ranked from worst to best! 2019 is coming to a close and MP1st ranks the best COD multiplayer games this decade.

Wore implementation I've ever seen,.. guess it just does not work all that great on every engine
Reshade is not raytracing, its a screen space post processing effect. Thats like calling SSAO "global illumination"

That feeling sunk in years ago.
Was I the only one hoping that Call of Duty would really step up there game in some way and really wow their users?
This is a new generation guys, this isn't acceptable. I was going to buy CoD: Ghosts and make KZ:SF wait but I think I'll be switching that order now and play my mates version when he gets his Xbox One and see if it's worth buying.
Gosh, this is really disappointing, I really expected more.
Edit: Just read:
This article was based off a retail copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts. The game was played on PC. Single player took 4 hours to complete on Normal. Multiplayer was played for 10 hours.
4 hours on normal?! Are you kidding? That's a joke right? I'm sorry, I know BF4 doesn't have a long campaign either but 4hrs is just absolutely pathetic - I'm the kind of person who likes to complete a campaign through on normal quickly before jumping online and I also like to go back and play it on the hardest difficulty when I get bored (which happens very quickly for me in FPS games as I'm an RTS player) and if you're only giving me 4 hours of content to play around with then I won't bother my time, I'm not buying CoD for it's online features like everyone presumes EVERY CoD player does.
Yup, the campaign is short. Took me longer than 4 hours, but I like to explore and admire the effort put in to games in general... that being said, there has been the rumblings of cut-and-paste with the campaign from previous COD installments. Yeah it's evident, but still I enjoyed the concept and story. And yes the story needed to be fleshed out some more. Hopefully IW will get on the stick with some SP DLC or something to go along with the season pass.
You would think after all the flak involving the lack of a new engine, they would have stepped it up!?
Oh well, Battlefield will get my attention more so anyway.
