Precisely. Most people who have bought a PS4 are more than arguably still snapping up late gen PS3 exclusives as they've been coming out in spades with GT to drop as late as December. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a few more gems to come in 2014.

Late gen exclusives to appease the massive PS3 install base who aren't necessarily jumping the Gen gun in November gives off a great gamer mindset and should hopefully convince you that it has only just begun on the PS4 regarding announced titles.

From what I hear the x360 has been pretty barren for a while apart from third party and MS must have known this and got the pocketbook out judging by the XB1 line up and also that most of MS first party devs are quite behind with their titles.

Well the PS4 has the only true made for next generation game and the best looking console game yet Killzone, the gamers know this, that is why it is outselling the entire XB1 launch exclusives, also Knack is the only exclusive game made for the family and accessible for the very young, and RoseGun is also a unique launch game.

90% of my games on the PS3 were exclusives, with huge variety everything from Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, LBP, Heavy Rain, Motorstorm, Uncharted etc I was never short of new experiences.

M$ really hasn't got the quality studios to match the likes of naughty dog, guerilla etc so I expect nothing special from M$ probably the same old Halo, Forza etc, with nothing really original for gamers to be excited about.

For that reason Sony will always offer more exciting exclusives.

Why are people so quick to forget the PS3? It had the exact same "dilemma" that the PS4 is having (lack of launch exclusives) and we all know how that has changed now. PS3 is unmatched with its exclusives and is still releasing them this late into its cycle. PS4 will be no different.

I just watched a gameplay trailer for The Order and couldn't believe what I saw. I placed a preorder immediately. Besides the next ND game, that is at the top of my list of must-haves. Oh, and Infamous, that looks crazy too.

I will stick to real quality gaming with the PS4 at 1080p native resolution while others can enjoy their NoNitendo fad at 720p while waving angrily at kinect2 and shout slogans at the eXB0ne to relieve their frustrations. The PS4 has 30 exclusives announced an in development. The Xbox has 15. On top of this, the PS4 event is apparently announcing new exclusives and games.

You can't say "BUT THESE ARE BETTER" because they're not even out yet... They've not been reviewed, you've not experienced them... We can only look at raw number right now.
Considering the PS4 has TWICE the amount of exclusives, how the bloody hell is the Xbox "winning" in terms of exclusives?

Microsoft has already put many of their cards on the table, Sony has been keeping their cards close to the vest, at least until the November 14th event if the rumor is correct. Sony also has a track record of more exclusives. So not sure how anyone can claim this as a Microsoft victory at this point in time.

Only two exclusives so far I want to play on Xbox are Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall.

Titanfall is avalible on PC but not sure about Dead Rising, although its all a matter of opinion as there could be gamers who are interested in Ryse or Forza but not interested in Dead Rising or Titanfall.

I will get a xbox one eventaully probably in year two or three. This gen ive prefered PS3s libarary and this gen have prefered Sonys first party games compared to Microsofts or Nintendos first party so sticking with PS4 as my main choice for next gen for now.

Although that could change in a few years coming into this gen my main console was 360 but swapped to PS3 around 2009, and the generation before my favourite was the Gamecube so who knows which will be my favourite this time in 5 years. I always get all the consoles eventually.

I think Titanfall and Quantum Break look cool and I love Halo but then again Sony has Naughty Dog which makes some of the best games around and arguably made the best single player experience of gen with Last of Us. Then there's strong titles such as Killzone, Infamous and God of War AND the assurance that Sony won't abandon core gamers prematurely like MS has done twice now.

So I suppose, even at price parity I'd go for PS4 and it's extra power cause the exclusives are strong and consistent throughout the entire gen. Then there MS paywalls to otherwise free services that just bothers me making me reluctant to support them.

Play what you enjoy. Folks on here had me believing that BF4 on X1 would look like a turd, and then i saw the footage. PS4 will have slightly better graphics on most games because it has more power, if that's important to you get a PS4. Or a PC. If you can't imagine waiting to play Titanfall and aren't getting a PC, then get an X1. If you are used to current gen games will look great on both consoles so get what has your most anticipated games. I could not imagine waiting 2-3 years to play the next game from COD 4 makers. If the X1 actually turns out to be a complete graphical dud then buy a PS4 in a couple years. No biggie =)

Yeah...there's no interest in Ryse and Forza sells about a million then dies before being bundled with games that actually sell well. I'd hardly call those system sellers. They are clearly missing a Gears caliber title and Sony has it's next gen stunner in Killzone. I don't think this guy is being realistic about these titles but...

MS simply has the quantity working for them and the fact that they abandoned the Xbox 360. Many of these titles were once X360 games and now they're not... Meanwhile, Sony continues to pump out PS3 titles where they could have gutted the system and made those Ps4 games.

Let's be real here, MS has no 1st party shooter and their fanbase is comprised of shooter fans. So there is no advantage.

Aside from that, the focus will be on the bigger multiplats and I Hate to clone what was said about the PS3/x360, they all run better on the PS4 which really takes away from the 2 or 3 titles MS has that no one really wants. I mean, Killer Instinct got booed on stage.

MS have never been very good at keeping that momentum going throughout their consoles lives.

Whereas Sony have had exclusives coming out of their ears for all their consoles from when the console launches till 2-3 years after their next console is released.

So people saying MS have the most exclusives and trying to discredit Sony because they don't have as many new exclusives at launch is laughable.

Watch what happens 1-2 years down the line when MS have run out of their exclusives and Sony are just getting into their stride when all their worldwide studios are churning out new exclusives every few months for the next several years.

I wouldn't expect the same for XB1 if they are talking about a 10yr cycle for it. Go do some research and find out what kinds of moves they been making since 2008. They been snapping up studios and reorganizing them for the XB1. They hired Phil Harrison one of the guys that helped secure alot studios in Europe when he was with Sony. They been making some moves if you just do the research.

If you want to talk about exclusives unbaiasly. Both consoles are lacking BUT the 3rd party support is so strong in the holiday season you dont need much it is better to spread the games over time like what Sony ALWAYS does unlike MS. I think all of MS exclusives even though they technically have more of the games that are not released on PC as well are all unattractive. If you look at pre-order sales it seems like nobody is even buying them compared to the Sony exclusives. KZ:SF is the only exclusive that's launching that will probably be not only received well but sell very well.

Also to add all the exclusives besides like two are developed from 3rd party developers on MS camp. Which means ya they have a good lineup now but that's a launch only reliable catalog. Dont expect MS to keep up with those titles as they will all be multiplatform on their next versions or wont even have a next version. It is really a smoke and mirrors campaign. Sony not only owns the IPs of all their exclusives but the studios themselves so they can keep putting out those games every year.

Then if you want to look at the titles that are releasing on PS4 day one free to play MS cant even compete. There is like 400-500 dollars worth of titles free day one that is not on the xb1. That seems to be left out of the argument. Games from warthunder to warframe to ps2 and dcuniverse, resogun if you get ps+ and even more. Anyways in 14 days ill be enjoying my ps4 anyone who decides to buy a new console should just do their diligence in making sure they are getting the most for their money not only now but down the road.

There is a huge difference between exclusives and AAA exclusives. When you put out games like Killzone, Uncharted, Infamous, God of War, Gran Turismo, The Last of Us, Deep Down, Driveclub, The Order: 1886 and DC Universe Online.

These are all looked at as top end higher then the normal standards of video games and subject to Game of the Year choices. Something only Sony has won. Otherwise it's been a mulitplatform title.

Lets talk about smaller game exclusives then. Lets compare Resogun to Killer Instinct. Resogun has the entire world made up of 200,000 voxels (3d cubes) that is completely destructible and it runs at 1080p. HouseMarque said the game could support 500,000 voxels but its to cluttered. Killer Instinct is a fighting game with 2 characters on screen at the same time and runs at 720p.

So, why is KI only in 720p? It has few characters on screen, no destruction, and its an exclusive, so why can't that game run in 1080? It's not like the 3d art is all that impressive. I will tell you why because the X1 has a weak, weak, WEAK GPU.

In my opinion, there has not been one generation where they have not come in with the best, and highly regarded exclusives.
