TaG:
I was able to purchase the Playstation 4 controller from my local Gamestop. I hooked it up to my PS3, and began to play Arkham Origins. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable, and precise the controller felt.
Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.
The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.
Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is almost here, but I can't revisit the best Arkhamverse game on PS5 without sacrificing quality.
Not a fan of Orgins. Blame it on the absence of Conroy & Hamill. Blame it on the lack of atmosphere compared to Asylm. Hell blame it the devs thst dicked over Wii U owners like me that purchased the game only for support be dropped as a thank you to me. It's better than Knight but that's not saying much. I don't care for that entry either.
Even though its not the best arkham game in the series, its still an enjoyable game in its own right. What it do really well at though, was the crime investigations scenes. Which imo, were the best of the franchise.
I don’t know about best game but it definitely has the best story and boss fights.
Never played it and recently I've finally tried it via cloud on psn. It's not the best for sure, but it ain't bad either.
Batman: Arkham Origins launched 10 years ago today, and sadly doesn't stand the test of time as well as its predecessors.
I fail to grasp why this title is worse compared to Arkham City (according to the article) as the author didn't provide any argument to explain why aside from that it felt the bigger map compared to Arkham Asylum made the experience less tight.
More importantly, the author seems like he never played Arkham City since he described the game as linear (alongside Asylum).
Hopefully the shops over here in the UK, allow us to buy peripherals early, I am looking to get one for my PC.
I am already getting two more with the KZ:SF bundle.
Edit: Ohh, i might have to do some digging regarding the DS4 working on the 360, i was never really a fan of the 360 controller TBH.
There is only positive opinions about DS4 so far, can't wait to try it.
I bought mine last night, along with the camera, from my local GameStop.
The first thing I noticed were the thumbsticks. They're much smaller in person than they look in photos and while the new outer ridges help compensate for this, it will be interesting to see how gamers adjust.
The triggers are FANTASTIC. They're curved just right, and provide just the right amount of resistance. The new grips feel nice, albeit a bit "slippery ". I may invest in some rubber grips I saw on a website somewhere.
The 'Share' and 'Options' buttons are nearly flush to the face of the controller and require a deliberate, firm press to use, but provide a satisfying click and "springback" when you do. I suspect this design was intentional in order to prevent players from accidentally clicking these in the middle of a game due to the lack of real estate on the face of the controller. On that note, I'm a bit disappointed that the overall size of the DS4 is only slightly larger than the DS3.
The touchpad doesn't feel very satisfying to click, but it doesn't feel cheap, either.
Overall, the controller feels like an advancement over its predecessor, and that's what you like to see heading into a new hardware generation. If I were to give it a numerical score, it would be 8/10.
The usb cable not coming with the controller is kind of a dick move. the actual reason why it doesnt come with one is because the ps4 CONSOLE has a cable in the box. so when you get your ps4, youll be getting your console, controller, AND a charger. so if you buy 70 extra controllers, youll be using the same usb that originally came with your ps4, because there will be NONE provided with any of the 70 extra controllers.
I've been using mine to play GTAV lol it's a definite step up from DS3
