"You guys can clearly see in the below comparison gif, the light reflecting off the windscreen and car is miles better in Forza 5 as compare to Forza 4. Furthermore, the car and backgrounds look more detailed and sharper."

-Yes everybody can see this with their own 2 eyes but on n4g delusion persists regardless of visual evidence.

I honestly can not tell much difference between the 2. Forza 5 has more light reflecting off of it but this is no way a judge of quality. Different amounts of light will reflect off depending on the angle and source of light.

You can zoom in on the gif to see that the Forza5 car model is sharper and the background is more detailed, however this isnt the best example since the Forza4 pic is in motion. You can see them both in motion here:

-I think the point is graphically Forza4 was beautiful but Forza5 by all accounts/previews is visually and techically superior than Forza4...any console racer at least for now.

Geez, this site is lame. All they do is post pictures write about a paragraph and call them articles. It's like 90% of their recent content.

Jokes, you're crazy, even fanboys can see that Forza 5 looks miles better than Forza 4. Why do you always think fanboys are over shoulder and in the shadows ready to troll any and every thing?

You seem paranoid and very defensive because of it :/

Eh, seeing a post like gamingcapacity's kinda makes your post seem justifiable though. He might be serious or more likely stealth trolling. I think Forza 4 has an even more "cartoony" art style so comparisons don't make much sense but Forza 5 definitely looks better. Better textures (tires, street, car), reflections and lighting compared to Forza 4, the background looks way better too.

@lukas....great use of yours as well. ;)

on topic...forza 4 is a great testament to the quality that T10 has been aspiring to using the 360. to think that dev of FM5 'probably' started on the 360 but moved to higher spec PC's as the thought process went into the eventual XB1.

this game is looking fantastic and no doubt we will see a FM6 with even greater fidelity.

Annnd... Isnt one stationary and one high speed? hard to compare?

tigertom531819d ago

aceitman1818d ago

yeah I cant tell, don't know if that is a good thing or bad.

Allsystemgamer1819d ago

I honestly cNt tell which is which...but I'm looking on my phone and the gif is compressed.

danny8181819d ago

Same here. They both look very similar on my iphone 5

The problem for me with Forza is that they just can't seem to figure out how to get the lighting right.

Take the latest direct feed gameplay from Gamespot for instance. In extreme lighting circumstances (i.e.: loads of sun rays glaring), the game can look really awesome and pretty damn realistic, but once you take that away and enter more shadowy areas, it just looks very flat and unrealistic.

I think there's no denying the game has a lot going for it, but they really need to fire whoever is responsible for the lighting engine, because it's really hurting the visuals and it's been the problem with pretty much every Forza game so far. Shame really.

If you can't tell which is X1 and which is 360, you need to get your eyes checked, or a better monitor. It's plain as day. The car is way more detailed, the background is as well.
