Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"Elemental Labs is a fresh developer that is looking to bring their first game to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in the form of REBORN. They have teamed up with acttil to help make this happen and have even launched a Kickstarter to help give themselves a push. We had a chance to speak with both the developer and acttil on a number of topics. Read below and see as they introduce their team and explain a few of their design decisions."
An update from Elemental Labs regarding the scifi ARPG Reborn, scheduled for a full reveal during GDC, with a Kickstarter starting just after.
GDC 2014 here we come. Hopefully the Kickstarter campaign will finally succeed. Pretty amped up about this game.

NOTE: The news of Watch Dogs and Drive Club being delayed came after the recording.
Not at all. Its pretty thin. I think its actually worse than PS3 which everyone said had no games but I was playing Resistance and Motorstorm.
Thank god for Killzone.
Good enough for what? To not make me consider another console? Yes.
Having said that, Sony should have pushed to have more exclusives at launch, especially since PS4 is supposedly so easy to code for.
I think too many people are putting too much emphasis on launch games. I think X1 and Sony's launch lineup looks about the same neither looking super impressive but neither being awful either. Then I started thinking back and I could think of a couple decent launch exclusives but was having a hard time thinking of consoles with gobs of great exclusives at launch. This race is a long one so why does the media keep acting like it's won and lost at launch is beyond me.
For me, no. I cancelled my pre order purely based on this fact. I absolutely will get one but not until next spring or later, once there are a good few more games.
I know there is plenty of games at launch but the only one I'm interested in is Killzone, and as much as I love KZ it ain't a system seller.
Reborn was supposed to be the first futuristic cyber punk action RPG that was supposed to mix Japanese lore with a Western theme. It needed about $200k to be funded and now it appears that the project creator has suddenly cancelled the funding.
Oh boy relaunching in November might not be an good idea. New consoles and games are right around the corner and not to mention black friday. I don't see this kickstarter doing much better than it did before.
Slightly disappointed, but hey, it's coming back in November. The concept art is mind-blowing.
WHY WAS THIS NOT FUNDED!? FUND YOU FOOLS! FUND!
surprised but reading the article it makes sense, they want to make the reward system for backers clearer and more streamlined, increase awareness and marketing, and prepare more content to entice or give incentive to fund the game. restarting would be the ideal way to do that so they don't waste time in their funding period doing that
Goddamnit. Well at least it's coming back. Sounds like they really want to make it the best for those supporting it, so it makes sense.
