If you own Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 then there is NO need on wasting money on any of the sequels unless you just want to play through the SP story mode.
You can pretty much buy MW1 and install mods to get you MW2 or MW3 gameplay.
Besides most PC Gamers are playing Arma 3, Planetside 2, BF3, TF2, Counter Strike GO, Natural Selection 2, Firefall, Hawken, Payday 2, Chivalry Medieval Warfare, Warframe, and a few other shooters.
Edit: MW2 PC does have a nice following though why I do not know!
More people are playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 than MW3PC
