I really want to try PoE2 on PS5 but it looks pretty confusing and the skill tree is massive. Closest thing I’ve played to this would be Diablo.
They simplified PoE2 a bit, not to Diablo levels, but the passive tree will be easier to manage than PoE1. Give it a try, I think you will be surprised if you like ARPGs.
I tried playing PoE1 multiple times and it never really clicked for me due to its complexity (and I found the combat a little unengaging).
I've just started PoE2 and I am instantly enjoying it. It's basically what I wanted from Diablo 4. Especially loving the combat so far.

Terraria, Kerbal Space Program, and Path of Exile can be incredibly hard for players to get into without ample prior genre experience.
