Microsoft introduced a wonderful service with the introduction of Xbox Indies. Early attempts at community development fell flat as the Saturn’s Game BASIC and PlayStation’s Net Yaroze lacked accessibility and distribution to make them worthwhile, but Microsoft was able to provide basically everyone an open door to its hardware. This ushered in thousands of unique titles from the community, and while the majority of XBLIG output was garbage, there were many gems among the chaff.

The internet is hyped about the announcement that Goat Simulator will indeed become a real game, and in fact so am I. I plan on buying it as soon as I can. However, let’s not forget that there is already a pretty neat goat game already out there for you to play! Granted it’s not a realistic looking goat, but you’re still playing as a goat and that’s what matters. This poor little goat has been imprisoned by witchcraft, so you must play as him to help him escape! Get the name? You get to experience amazing goat agility, beat things up with your awesome goat horns, and you even get to do it all with the help of a magical mouse.
