Takedown: Sabre Red is a tactical shooter in the style of Swat and Rainbow Six, and since the few years that there is a game in this kind of superior quality. Unfortunately Takedown can never be next.
This game received funds through the Kickstarter program, and I honestly do not know how, because Takedown is a game clearly incomplete. A good idea is a tactical shooter heavily inspired by classics of the genre, which is a cooperative gameplay, giving orders to colleagues, walk slowly, peering carefully at each corner. Takedown: Sabre Red is right on stereotype, but fails miserably at the technical level.
Gameumentary: Christian Allen has been working on games since the late nineties. He started his career by developing mods for the Rainbow Six, which ended up landing him a job at Red Storm Entertainment working on the Ghost Recon franchise.
GG3 shows off some of the games on sale on Steam that aren't advertised. Once more, 505 Games dumps its games. Takedown is back at a 90% discount, a month after it did the same. Rekoil is 80% off and it hasn't been out for two months. Unrelated: The War Z is also 90% off.
We suit up this tactical bite sized shooter. How does it do?
