Ratchet & Clank bid PS3 farewell with Into the Nexus, a game with more gravity | Polygon

Polygon: "Brian Allgeier, creative director at Insomniac Games, calls Into the Nexus a return to classic Ratchet & Clank gameplay mechanics, a mix of single-player third-person shooting, puzzle solving and platforming. It's also a more story-driven adventure, Allgeier says, that focuses on Ratchet's personal arc as he comes to terms with the decisions he's made in past games."

Can't wait for the 2/10 Polygon review.

Yeah haters gonna hate, gamers gonna game...

kratos_TheGoat4274d ago

lmao nah is gonna be 6/10 I'm a fan of r&c game but let be real i dont have confident after all 4 one and that 20 dollar game was a dull

Harpers_Ferry4274d ago

I'm fairly confident in this one simply because it's a return to the classic style that fits R&C best. Not a new game based on play styles (A4O) or some genre offshoot (FFA), but a good old fashion R&C adventure. My primary concern is the length, but they say it's much longer than QFB, so I'm hopeful.

With regards to other sites, I suspect there might be some review confusion, where many reviewers may not fully understand that this is isn't another full-blown game, but a shorter title to fit the price. In any case, I'm hoping for a decent sendoff to the series on PS3, and looking forward to the inevitable PS4 game to coincide with the upcoming movie.

Well I'm hoping it will be good too, we'll know soon enough. All 4 one was ok, I got it through PS+ though, don't think I would have bought it.

Edit: And I don't really trust any reviews out there. Just take Killer is Dead, it got a lot of bad reviews, but I love it. If I had listened to those reviews I would have missed out on a game I really enjoy...

I've lost the love that I used to have for Insomniac.

They seem stretched too thin, FFA suffered, I worry about this suffering from the next title they want to take multi-platform.

Insomniac must need more cash for their XBone game. Sorry Ted you are a moron and you are running your company into the ground.

You are going to be out of business by the end of this gen.

Ranking the Ratchet and Clank Games from Worst to Best

From Xfire: "Insomniac Games first introduced the unlikely duo of Ratchet and Clank back in 2002 on the PlayStation 2. Since then, the series has taken audiences on a journey that has spanned not just an entire galaxy, but multiple dimensions, with its most recent outings."

Best games of the franchise are Up Your Arsenal, A Crack in Time, 2016 Remake and without a doubt the newest one Rift Apart. You simply can’t go wrong with these.

Man what a glorious game series.

neutralgamer19921462d ago

Only ones I don't like as much are all 4 one and full frontal assault other than that all games are awesome( even these are good games just not up to the standard of other games in the series)

victorMaje1462d ago

Nice article, good list, they're all fun & I love this game!
Rift Apart is spectacular.
Insomniac are wizards, I want their next game to be a new Resistance. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.

DOMination-1461d ago

Ryan Mccaffrey said last week that Resistance 4 was in development but Sony cancelled it due to the high number of post-apocalyptic games around at the moment.

victorMaje1461d ago

Well that’s a shame. I feel they could do something truly special with today’s technology.

chicken_in_the_corn1462d ago

I'm looking forward to playing Rift Apart then the whole series sometime afterward. Up Your Arsenal is my favourite

10 More Cancelled Vita Games That Should Have Happened

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The Vita has seen a larger than usual amount of cancellations due to its lukewarm sales and aging mobile hardware, and this topic is something I already looked at two years ago, but I've decided to revisit it given that we’ve seen a number of new projects stall in recent months (likely following the recent news that worldwide production has stopped and the console is now discontinued).

So what I’m aiming to look at in this article is ten of the more high-profile games which were either officially announced or heavily rumored to be coming to Vita that ended up never appearing, with an examination of what we knew about them, what they could’ve been, and what happened to them."
