Nintendo Direct Filled with Awesomeness and a Delay

TheDinoBox gives a recap of the Nintendo Direct feed from 10.1.2013. Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3D World, and most importantly, a new Kirby title in development for the Nintendo 3DS get discussed.

There is also a listing of key launch dates of upcoming Nintendo Wii U and 3DS titles from today's feed.

I'm bummed that DKC: Tropical Freeze got delayed. The Wii U's 2014 might be looking incredible, but 2013 is gonna be a tough one. Good thing Super Mario 3D World is looking like a fun time and Sonic: Lost World looks great too.

Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD, , Sonic Lost World and Mario 3D World. All exclusive Wii U games released or releasing from August to December of this year.

And that is without counting third party multiplats (Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, Call of Duty Ghosts, Batman Arkham Origins).

The Wii U's first 7 months were awful, it had pretty much nothing besides Lego City Undercover. But from August onwards, it's actually pretty filled with games to play!

Yes, it's a bummer we won't get to play Donkey Kong this december, but at least that will give us a little more to look forward to on 2014 besides Mario Kart 8, Smash, Bayonetta 2 and Monolith's X.

Personally, I'm quite happy. My Wii U has already seen a lot of use since Wonderful 101's release, and it will continue that way until january at least. By then I expect to be able to take a break from my Wii U to play GTA V on my PS3. Lol.

Yeah i was sad it got delayed then i realized i can use the money i was going to spend on DK on sonic lost world since theyre both 50 dollars. So i can still buy every wii u exclusive this year :D
I also hope deus ex isnt a botched port because i never got to play human revolution and the wii u version looks so good.

I figured it was delayed before the Direct. Amazon had changed the release date from December to "We'll let you know" a couple of weeks ago. That's usually a sign of a delay. At least we know Amazon and Nintendo are communicating again.

As for the release schedule in general, I still think Nintendo has pretty consistent riding out 2013 into 2014. Pikmin->W101->WWHD->S MW3D->WiiFitU->WiiSportsC lub->SonicLostWorld... And then 2014 MarioKartU->SSBU->Bayone tta2->DKCTF... then at E3, they'll announce the holiday season of games for 2014. So Nintendo looks pretty consistent.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty underwhelmed by Super Mario 3D World's initial reveal. But after that trailer my feelings on the game have gone from meh to OMFG I WANT IT NOW!!

It's another Mario game, but damn does it look quite interesting/FUN : ) cat costume is cute to the tenth power.
