PS4 to get stronger launch lineup for JP release

Japan is getting the PlayStation 4 three months after North America and Europe. Now while that may sound weird, especially with the PS4 being a Japanese console, Sony’s reasoning does make sense: it wants to bolster its Japanese launch game lineup.

“Sony just wants to make sure that when PlayStation 4 launches in Japan there is a good line-up of titles for Japan,” the console’s lead architect Mark Cerny said. “Perhaps you could say that a few western developers have been more aggressive in readying titles for the hardware.”
