Xbox One vs PlayStation 4 Launch Line-Up Compared

Console Monster writes "Games sell a console, right? Well in that case we best look at the launch line-ups for both next-generation consoles, because if you are still sitting on the pre-order fence, maybe the launch titles will sway your decision?

I've bunched up the multi-platform titles that are releasing on both consoles (top) and underneath you'll find the timed or exclusive titles that will be coming to either console. Granted this does not cover the possibility of additional indie games that may be available digitally on either console at launch, but these are the titles that are at least confirmed to be available on the console's launch day."

some really good launches. The amount of free content is the biggest PLUS. I can only afford one game (watchdogs) so getting 4 additional free games day one is a great thing

Im getting both. As tired of AC as I may be, this is a nextgen pirate game and that has me hyped. If I had to pick though, I'd go Watchdogs because that looks the most innovative. Shame both are cross gen. Really looking forward to a fully nextgen focused Ubisoft title.

I have killzone reserved too. I preordered the ps4/killzone shadow fall combo and extra ds4. I am stoked about next gen. was with micro$oft then e3 happened and now I'm sony all the way. Killzone and all the free to play games that SOE will be offering will be plenty to get me started.

I look at this list and all I see is Resogun. I will, however, admit that I am jealous of the (timed, I think) exclusivity of Peggle 2.

The only big budget game that holds any of my interest is Watch Dogs. That will change when inFamous and Titanfall release.

Hopefully some free to play will be fun. I'm excited to try those titles.

I think PS4 pulls ahead about 3-8 months after launch. They are kind of even for launch games. XB1 isn't too bad.

you can always trust playstation to have really good games, look at how many awesome ps3 games and exclusives came out. microsoft were weak in bringing new ip's

Ppl doubted last of us and how it will play . but its amazing. games still coming for ps3 , beyond 2 souls etc. if you buying just 1 console. make it the ps4, its the wiser choice from what history has shown. but yeh anything can happen. but stats speak volumes

Shocked that NBA Live and NBA2K14 will be going head to head at launch. So many similar games going head to head at launch.

But, I can't honestly wait to get my hands on; BF4, Watch Dogs, Knack, Killzone SF, DCUO, War Thunder, Warframe, AC4 and of course any free PS+ game available.

I'm still trying to see why people are arguing over who has the best launch lineup... They are just about the same damn thing with all the AAA third party titles.

Then it comes down to exclusives Forza, Dead Rising, Ryse, and Killer Instinct (the rest is crap) vs Killzone, Drive Club, Knack, and the Free to Plays (the rest is crap).

I know which one I'm going 4 (see what I did there) but to each is own though.

I rather argue about 1st party developers than launch titles because that is where the real value of a console is. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Forza vs Driveclub: Forza for me by a mile. Whilst I know that Forza is mroe fo a sim, the game just plays better and looks better (people hyping DC's visuals over Forza will be disappointed when they finally get a hands-on).

Killer Instinct and Dead Rising 3 I really can't wait for.

But I dunno...I'm still kind of torn between teh PS4 too. I never really liked Killzone but Killzone:SF looks like a game that can finally grab my attention. Also, Infamous is only a month or so away from launch.

Then there's Planetside. Although I have it on PC it would be fun to play it on consoles (but only if my friends were on it- and they're holding out their final verdict for now).

It's very close. I don't think anyone can deny that both consoles have amazing line-ups. This isn't even taking into account the amazing third party games coming out for the console.

My next-gen endeavour is going to require a mortgage at this rate.

Both consoles have great launch lineups. But I'm trying to look more into post launch line-ups. That's why I'm leaning towards PS4.

It still amazes me that Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Sony San Diego, Cambridge, Sony London, Sony Bend, Media Molecule, Polyphony, and Quantic Dream etc... still haven't announced a PS4 title yet. I'm excited to see what they're all up to.

My 360 been collecting dust for a while and it hasn't had a strong exclusive lineup as of late. 3 years and it's only Halo Reach, Halo Anniversary, Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Gears of War Judgement and a bunch of Kinect games. If I'm missing any games please include them(No PC Games).

I'm glad Xbox One has a strong line-up, but I wish they didn't abandon the 360 so soon... Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse was originally 360 titles, but they wanted more exclusives so they moved the titles to Xbox One. Sucks for me I guess.....

If those last few exclusive PS3 games were compatible with next gen hardware I bet sony would have done the same thing..but since those games was so far into development with the ps3 an cell they had no choice but to continue on as PS3 only games...(bigger fanbase anyway)

For me the ps4 wins hands down the main reason being variety, the ps4 seems to have every genre and budget covered, if you can only just afford the console you have free games waiting to be played, if you have lots of cash then there are lots of games to buy, cant go wrong with the ps4 line up.

I wanna try Ryse, it's a risk i'm willing to take. There's titanfall (to look forward to) <- that looks dope as f-ck. Deadrising is a proven franchise, thats if you wanna play it safe. And in Europe, we're crazy about FIFA over here, and its being given "free" to us.

as for ps4, they're giving me proven games like KZ:shadow fall, infamous. . I can wait to play those... plus im not even done with my PS3 yet so. . . Still enjoying, The Last of US, and a backlog too . .

Plan on downloading forza and bf4... Titanfall and destiny will also get picked up..

Most others are a maybe... As good as watch dogs, ac4 and the division look, I don't see having the time to enjoy them right away..

Then when a new borderlands and BioShock come out, I'll make time lol

If wikipedia is to be believed Contrast, Hohokum and PlanetSide 2 are missing on the PS4 list. I hope Outlast will be availiable at launch as well.

Kill zone is all i need, my body is ready. Besides Planet Side 2, Rime and Drive club nothing on either console has my interest.

I prefer Ps4 lineup by a good amount.

killzone has really done a number to me , killzone 2 was great but controls were awkward and it was pretty generic but i still liked it and then i bought killzone 3 and that game is trash so i dont think killzone is for me but i will buy a PS4 nonetheless but it wont be till later next year
