Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix Review|Spritejournal

Released yesterday (10 September 2013) in the United States, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX marks the first official release of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix outside of Japan, and the first Kingdom Hearts title compatible with the PS3. Final Mix is a sort of director’s cut of the game with additional cinematics, conversations, and even new bosses. Both the original Kingdom Hearts and the Final Mix were released more than a decade ago, so this release has been a long time coming. HD 1.5 ReMIX not only includes Final Mix, but also includes Re:Chain of Memories, a PS2 remake of the GBA title, and a feature-length film’s worth of HD cinematics from 358/2 Days. I’ll cover my initial “unboxing” thoughts here, but this review will primarily be of Final Mix.
