GameZebo - Even if you’re the happiest person in the world, there’s no avoiding the fact that some days will always be better than others. And on some of those off days, haven’t you ever thought of just throwing yourself down a hill and letting your body squash every physical thing that happened to be getting on your nerves? I wouldn’t recommend it: I tried that once and just wound up bumping my head against my mailbox. Luckily, Giant Boulder of Death from Adult Swim Games makes this feat a whole lot more rewarding (not to mention safer for your head), as you guide a deadly boulder down an unsuspecting hill just for the sake of destruction.
John Bedford (Modojo): Regular Modojo readers will know that we like to bring you a round-up of all the new iPhone and iPad games that hit the App Store when the clock strikes midnight each Thursday. What about you Android gamers out there though? To which new games should you turn when you're next killing time?
There was a time when you may not have thought of Adult Swim as having decent games or games in general, but now after their release of hit games such as Robot Unicorn Attack and Monsters Ate My Condo they have secured a spot as a prime developer/publisher of quality games. Their latest foray into the video game world is called Giant Boulder of Death in which you play as a sentient boulder hell bent on revenge on a small town for turning his girlfriend into a statue.
EG:Giant Boulder of Death is a quintessential Adult Swim game. It's strange and silly, but also incredibly well balanced and designed underneath its anarchic surface. Most importantly, the feel of it is just right - impacts feel crunchy and the time spent as an invincible ball of destruction are wonderfully cathartic - while the game keeps adding more weirdness on top the longer you play. Rock on.
