Looking back, there are so many of these games that Zack can attribute so much to and adored. A lot of those on his list have their own faults that have been criticized in the past, but he believes it is with these imperfections that he has come to draw even more appeal from them.
However, Zack can not deny the impact each of these games have made on me. These are the titles that he would rank as his Top 10 RPGs of All Time.
Ever play a game a game only to discover at some point it transforms into a horror game? No? Well Netto's Game Room shares six games that do just that!
Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.
Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.
I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.
There are plenty of games that were released on the PS1 that deserved some kind of sequel or follow-up, yet never received another game.
The List there is not bad..but my top ten PS1 sequels would be:
Battle Arena Toshinden 5
New Parodius
New Bust A Groove
New Kensai: Sacred Fist
Bushido Blade 3
Xenogears 2
Biofreaks 2
Jumping Flash 4
Cardinal Syn 2
Tobal No. 3
There was actually at attempt at a new Hogs of War kickstarter last year, but it did really poorly and failed to make it's goal.
Actually there were a bunch of monopoly like board games on PS1 that i really enjoyed, like momotaro dentsetsu, dragon money etc.
wish someone would make more of these games
Many indies try to capture the magic of Nintendo's urban RPG, but the game that comes closest is SEGA's crime drama, Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
