Square Enix just opened the official website of the “sequel but not really a sequel” of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, aptly and a bit awkwardly titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel. The release date has also been disclosed: the game will hit the Japanese shelves on December the 5th for 3DS.
Bravely Second: End Layer comes out in less than two weeks in Japan, and to celebrate, Dengeki Online is going to have a special livestream on Friday. It will be a live playthrough of Bravely Default: For the Sequel (the augmented version of Bravely Defaut, the same one that was released in Europe and North America).
However, please note that this is going to be quite the lengthy livestream, as the Dengeki Online staff is planning to play until the end, and the True Ending. Therefore, it will be a real spoiler fest if you haven’t played the game: you have been warned! If you’ve already played Bravely Default, this will be a nice refresher course before Bravely Second: End Layer comes out on April 23rd in Japan.
Square Enix have released the new scenario for the free to play version of Bravely Default For The Sequel in Japan. Now you can play with the game up to Chapter 4.
Bravely Default: For the Sequel will get a reprint in Japan under Square Enix’s own “Greatest Hits” label. The Ultimate Hits version of Bravely Default: For the Sequel will cost 2,500 yen and will be available on August 7.
Looks good, may have to import this
Great!! Can't to pick up BD:FF next year.
It sounds like this is just a more complete version of the first one. Gotta love that title, though.
Can't wait to play the original when it gets localized.
