Looking to beta test a new PC game? Well, you're in luck. Daedalic Entertainment is looking for some beta testers for its upcoming turn-based RPG Blackguards. Players from all over the world now have a chance to play-test the game, which is centered around a party of criminal heroes. The game itself isn't set for release until November, 2013.
BlackGuards by Daedalic Entertainment has been on my wishlist since its release in January 2014. I finally dedicated some time to try the game and after dozens of hours I’m here to type some words about BlackGuards. Be warned though, there may be a few spoilers ahead.
BlackGuards was released on early access via Steam on November, 6th, 2013. The story takes place in the universe of The Dark Eye, one of Europe’s most popular pen and paper RPGs. The game was developed by Daedalic Entertainment, a company known for their successful adventure games such as Chains of Satinav and Memoria; which are also set in The Dark Eye world.
Blackguards is Daedalic Entertainment’s first attempt at making a turn-based RPG game, and being the development company’s first dabble in the genre, they really hit the nail on the head when it came to the game’s fight mechanics. They delivered a game with thought-provoking fights that will offer players 40+ hours of engaging and challenging content, while giving old turn-based mechanics a refreshing spin.
Daedalic Entertainment is looking for gamers who are interested in taking part in an closed beta test phase for their upcoming turn-based RPG Blackguards.
Players from all over the world will get the chance to play-test the sinister RPG which centers around a party of criminal “heroes”, way before the actual release in November 2013, and get the chance to influence the development with their feedback.
