Hit-Reset Review: Rayman Legends's Gavin writes...

"Rayman Legends is a glorious triumph for Ubisoft, but a tragic misstep for Nintendo. They should have absolutely locked this down for Wii U at the earliest opportunity. As a launch title, this would have been a system seller, THE system seller they absolutely needed. While I imagine the other formats all lack a touch of magic that the Wii U version retains through it’s gamepad functionality, they are still absolute platforming perfection. On your own or after you invite a few friends over, you won’t find better than this over the last few years, hell you’d struggle over the last twenty five. It’s not hyperbole to state that Rayman Legends is a classic in the making, one of the best games you’ll ever play. It’s not without it’s flaws, some will grumble about the lack of online co-op and the difficulty can be erratic at times, combining with inconsistent checkpointing to frustrate less seasoned players, but the highs are so damn high that you barely notice when things do dip just a little. This is family party perfection, the type of game you can dig out at any time and be assured of a great time. Do yourself a favour, add this to your “must buy” list and clear a weekend, you won’t regret it."
