Hardcore Gamer: It hasn't been that long since TxK was announced for the PS Vita, but development has been rocketing along ever since and now it's playable at Gamescom. If you can't get to Cologne, however, Jeff Minter (Yak) has uploaded a 20 minute video to show off how his latest version of Tempest is coming along. As is expected, it's awfully colorful and fantastically shooty.

Tempest 2000 designer Jeff Minter wants to release his latest tube-centric shooter, TxK, on a bunch of platforms, but the longtime designer is saying Atari won't let him do that. Let's just say Minter doesn't have many kind things to say about his former employer.
