Crytek has announced the launch of the new CRYENGINE, which will be an ever-evolving development tool allowing up to date access to the latest features in CRYENGINE.
The announcement was made alongside the coming together of Crytek’s Engine Licensing and Research & Development teams. The move has been made to increase the number of individuals CRYENGINE licensees can contact while using the new engine.

If anyone can upgrade the engine then Crytek can. Good news anyway. Hunt looks pretty awesome anyway, but with UE5 a thing now Cryengine beginning to look dated perhaps?

I wonder how much does a Cry Engine license cost since ThechineseRoom (the people making that Rapture game for ps4) is using it for their game, and they are indies O,o
They are going to stop using numbered versions of the engine instead having it constantly updated.
Sounds like they are taking cues from Activision's way with CoD.
