Mikey Hooks review (Gamer’s Thumb)

Mikey Hooks is front-runner, jumper, slider, and swinger for iOS game of the year.

Beavertap’s latest speed running platformer improves upon the original Mikey Shorts in most areas, notably the inclusion of the grapple hook and tightening of the controls.

Yet it doesn’t lose the appeal of the original title, nor does it forfeit any of its obsessive-compulsive gameplay mechanisms, such as the refresh button, the difficult but achievable perfect runs, and the brilliant leader board system that allows you to challenge and compare scores and times with friends and the rest of the world.
