From what I've seen so far...it doesn't look as good as arkham city.

titletownrelo4298d ago

in terms of movement, combat, takedowns, and gadgets, its almost IDENTICAL to Arkham City D:

Which isn't BAAD, but there isn't enough innovation from what we've seen so far to call this a new fresh game.

As of now, Origins is just a DLC pack for Arkham City with a really long storyline.

Hopefully, my opinion will improve when I see more gameplay, but for now, the only thing exciting me is the storyline and the multiplayer.

Until I get to play this, Arkham City is the best super hero game

jakmckratos4299d ago

I have a feeling this game will get lower reviews than the other 2 as most prequels usually do.

Honestly they have already lost points in my book. Arkham city and Arkham Aslyum followed the comic book.. as though it was a continuation of all the previous comic book stories. Origins is changing stuff up. Like what the hell is bane doing in this game. Its way too early to even see bane. Banes not just some assassin. And the new gadgets arent really impressive to me.. in fact they feel like they take away from the realism and make it less gritty in my eyes. Im sure the game will be fun, but its clear as day that its not made by the same people... these guys are just riding rocksteadys you know what to success. On their own they are actually hurting the serious more then helping it.

"You're the Batman, of course!"
"Exactly yeah! So I'm gona make as much noise as possible!"

Those two clearly know Batman well! lol

Off-topic: Every time I play a Arkham game I can't help but wish Assassin's Creed to have that combat system. The free flow in Batman games are addicting!

Back on-topic: angrier, grittier Batman looks cooler than present Batman. His suits looks bigger too, like an armour.

Nobody bought it for an obvious reason.

Gamingsince198188d ago

Wtf did this edition come with ? A real helicopter and a real zombie virus ?

Vithar88d ago

For one lucky person willing to spend $386,000, the My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light promised a staggering collection. It included the buyer’s face in the game, a human-sized ‘Volatile’ statue, and parkour lessons with a freerunning team. It also came with night vision goggles, an all-expenses paid round trip to Techland’s offices, and four signed copies of the game. Oh, and it also came with a custom-built, ‘zombie-proof’ survival shelter.

LOL but it was a stunt from the team:
‘It was a PR stunt and got a lot of media attention for its wild and over-the-top nature, it was designed to generate buzz around the game’s release. It did a great job of getting the game noticed, though! But nobody purchased it – thankfully, I guess!’

The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.

Mannn… worlds scaries police chases… that took me back lol

Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.

Max Payne Series
Infamous 1 & 2
NBA Street Vol 2

One of the few Xbox games I own. I have 3 copies of it because of the many discs it has, for just in case reasons

jznrpg99d ago (Edited 99d ago )

Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those

I finally beat DL2 this past weekend. I’ll pick up the Beast for sure.

got_dam112d ago

It got a lot of shit from fans more not being as scary at night on release. I was in that boat. But once I gave it a fair shot I really loved it. The movement was so much more expressive to me. I enjoyed the story too.... for the most part. Was my game of the year when it came out. With all the updates for darker nights and all that, it's even better. I feel almost exactly the same about stalker 2 right now. The erojank games are scratching my itch.
