Payday 2: Beta Impressions – AlterGamer

Payday 2 is a clear improvement over Payday: The Heist (aka. Payday 1). The new heists have different objectives. There is optional loot, sometimes different ways to approach the mission. One of the most intriguing changes is the multiple-stage system, divided between a number of days. Weapon customization and custom masks are also recent additions.

While more content will most likely be added through DLCs what Payday 2 has to offer, in its current form, will provide countless hours of co-op gameplay with your buddies.

However, while the online experience will be great with friends there will always be an issue with Online games when it comes to random crews/players. While not that common your could meet a beginner, who needs a push in the right direction, or a trollish game host who will kick you, just before the heist ends, denying you any experience or loot.

All in all though, in terms of the great leap forward Payday 2 has certainly achieved it.
