GamesBeat: Five developers share their experiences on creating games at the end of the longest-running console generation.
"The Wii is the most successful of them all in terms of lifetime sales—Nintendo has sold more than 100 million devices, with Xbox 360 at 84 million and PS3 at 80 million sold—but only the PS3 and Xbox 360 continue on nearly a decade after they launched."
They have done well
In the end the cell processor will be a foot note in the history books due to the difficulty they all had.
Good to see Sony adopt the unified memory of the 360 over the previous dedicated memory, much more versatile.
Nothing about the whole gen being overreaching, overhyped and pretty much went in the wrong direction I bet.
"Xbox 360 at 84 million and PS3 at 80 million sold" dafuq ? do we live in alternate universes ?
Many developers had a hard time wrapping their heads around the PS3 during the console’s first few years... Is this the problem xbox one now finds itself in, I personally don't think so just don't think the box is up to the job either way Microsoft and their xbox one are gonna find themselves in the same place as the ps3, not a great position to be in hence why sony stepped it up as they didn't wanna settle for second best or 3rd even ;)
