BNR: ntimidating. That's how I'd describe the opening to Introversion Software's latest title, Prison Architect. The game starts with loud, harsh, harrowing noises- the faint murmur of conversation and the bangs of metal clashing against metal. There's something almost contradictory about the somewhat cute art style used for the game's characters, and I'm curious as to why they picked it as a camera pans around a jail- then again, the game's in alpha and the style might not be permanent. Suddenly, there's a phonecall- it's the CEO, and he wants to chat with me about a person on death row. Apparently, we're in need of an execution chamber.
The 'Next Chapter' of Prison Architect could be revealed on January 16, more than a decade after the first game was revealed.
