Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Plus review, the latest capturing device delivers
T1 - Hauppauge Digital announced today support for PlayStation 4 with the latest firmware update from Sony.
Technically, PS4 now compatible with Hauppauge Game Recorders. Hauppauge didn't do anything, Sony did.
This was the case when the update kicked in rrmoving HDCP protection. So why is this news now?
I tested my HD PVR Rocket at the time. Works a charm with the PS4.
Forgive a (video capture) noob if this question seems dumb, but...why is a dedicated capture device needed?
Now that Share Factory is available with editing, commentary and music support. I understand you can even place raw footage on your PC and use any (theoretically) editor.
Then isn't it just a case of saving your work to a USB (or direct from PC), and then uploading to Youtube, or am I missing something here?
Hauppauge Digital, Inc, the leading developer and manufacturer of HD video recorders, is launching its latest video recorder, HD PVR Rocket. HD PVR Rocket records video game play from PlayStation, Xbox and PC gaming systems in high definition resolution up to 1080p using H.264 video compression.
And what about those with a HD-PVR2?
Unless this is one of those things where you don't need a PC, then fine :P
Ken McKown writes: Capturing game play to share with the world is truly becoming a phenomenon. Everyone wants to record their best Call of Duty match, or even stream their tournaments in Injustice. We here at ZTGD are also in love with recording videos for our users to view of us being generally terrible at video games. We have been using Hauppage devices in the office for a couple years now with pretty excellent results, but the lack of HDMI inputs is starting to be a real drag. With the Hauppage HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition Plus (longest. title. ever) all of our dreams have come true. We can now record in crisp 1080p from HDMI with pass through. That is of course if we are recording anything other than PS3.
pos. They only come out with a new version of this thing every year because something is always effed up with it. El gato or the Roxio hd pro still kills this thing.
Does it matter about these with the upcoming consoles? I wouldn't think so.
if it was two times the size it would be agreat design for the xone..
