When Guild Wars 2 first launched it was possible to convert any karma you earned to gold by simply purchasing karma items such as armor and selling it on the trading post. ArenaNet later removed that ability by changing these items to being soulbound. But now there is a new and very lucrative method of converting GW2 karma to gold that works quite well.
