Martin from DJ Podcasts writes "Gamers, one thing that we can all agree on right no matter which console you own is that there is certainly a drought for new game releases. So what we have decided to do here at Daily Joystick is to give you our recommendations for some awesome Playstation Network titles, new and old that you really shouldn’t pass up on. Each of these games is special to each of the team and we wholeheartedly recommend these games to you. They will certainly fill the void between now and the holiday season and most are reasonably priced or have been known to be on sale from time to time. So without further waiting, let’s hop to the Daily Joystick PSN recommendations."
Shaz from GL: "The way Journey evokes emotions through its narrative without using traditional storytelling methods is something no game has been able to replicate."
The composer behind Journey, Austin Wintory, recently had a chance to revisit the classic game, just in time for its tenth anniversary.
My fav indie game ever, played this on ps4 and ps5. Too bad it does not have a plat trophy.
Jenova Chen told us about the development of the game.
Nice list but I disagree with some (as some will)
I really liked Dead Nation and i'm currently REALLY enjoying Thomas Was Alone
The Walking dead aswel is a must
You like what you like i guess
:)
Only ONE game in that is list is a "must play". The rest I can live without.
What an awful list!
How is Flower not on here?
Puzzle Fighter II - Fun game, but an "HD" port of a fun game does not deserve must play status. Especially one that could have been a PS1 classic.
Zen Pinball - Digital pinball machines will never be a must play, since they can never match the experience of the real deal.
Street Fighter II - See Puzzle Fighter II.
PJ Shooter - Fun game, but loads are better.
Final FIght Double Impact - Dungeons and Dragons is better (and without the DRM) and even then we had the quirky Scott Pilgrim / awesome ending song to Double Dragon Neon.
NBA Jam - Great series back in the day, not so much today.
Daytona - See Puzzle Fighter II.
Pacman - Same game with a new coat of paint is a must play now? Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but hardly must play.
Retro City Rampage - Interesting, but nothing about the game really stood out to me.
Journey - I don't personally like it, but many people do, so at least 1 is "right".
^ The list for anyone who wants to avoid giving them a view.
Anyway, there are many better games on the PSN and while people might write it off as their opinion, don't forget that it doesn't mean they played a lot or even several PSN games. Some better games include... Spelunker HD, Blood Dragon, Guacamelee, Shank 1/2, Skullgirls, Castlevania Harmony of Despair, Deathspank, etc.
