GIB:Ru Weerasuriya on fighting back against used games, and why he's launching The Order 1886 exclusively on PS4
Ready at Dawn, the studio known for PlayStation 4 action/adventure game The Order: 1886, is now prototyping a new triple-A game for consoles.
They're also looking to apply some of the lessons they learned in their acclaimed Lone Echo VR games.
Unlikely, but would love to see a follow up to The Order. Great setting with lots of potential.
Lone Echo II is a sequel to the VR title where a woman and a robot bond in an outer space adventure. GamesBeat interviewed Ru Weerasuriya about it.
Lone Echo was one of the better VR games when it came to story and production value. These are the types of games we need to see more of from devs to help VR develop and grow. Can't wait for the sequel.
Ready at Dawn CEO Ru Weerasuriya commented on the steady The Order: 1886 sales and said the studio would like to make another triple-A game.
Come on Sony, give them a second chance. Hopefully they let them make a sequel on PS5.
I thinking 1886 came out now it would have a different, more positive response. The ending was still pants though
C'mon give us a redeemable sequel...my only wish is that they give us a new setting aswell, preferably in India...
Well,i'm all in favor of people being able to trade for cash/store credit..I don't feel the publisher should be paid twice. The exchange deal for used goods should be kept between the buyer and seller.
Props to this guy for saying it.
Used game market is a total farce.
That's why I am getting your game The Order 1886 on Amazon. The last game I am ever getting at Gamestop is GTA5.
"Everything you saw in the trailer was in-game"
Hell yeah!
