In a surprisingly candid AMA, Vector Unit, the developers behind such hits as Riptide GP, Beach Buggy Blitz and Shine Runner have announced the release date for their highly anticipated sequel to Riptide GP, Riptide GP 2 for Android devices.
During the AMA Vector Unit announced that Riptide GP 2 will be released on the Google Play store July 26th. Vector Unit has been notoriously tight lipped about their upcoming Wave Race inspired title, so it was a little shocking to see that they decided to announce the release date now.

"What Riptide GP2 lacks is both the production values and sheer excitement of Hydro Thunder. This is more a game of skill and judgement rather than a balls-out racer, and with no shortcuts to make the tracks interesting, everything soon gets pretty samey out there on the water."
