A Final Fantasy VII Relapse? What is wrong with me!?

I think it's at least as newsworthy as random top 10, 7, 5, lists about gaming, and it wasn't a fanboyish rant. I'm sorry you had a problem with it though. Can't please everyone.

Im in the same shoes as (1) though. I played through VII on my 60GB, and would love to play through it agian.

I really think that Sony's "big E3 announcement" is going to be that the FFVII remake is in fact, in the works and due out 2010.

If Sony were to announce this, it would be at E3. And if Sony were ever to announce this, it would be the end-all be-all announcement for ages. Nothing could ever compare during that E3.

The way I see it is...
They already have the story. They already have the fanbase. They already have the White engine. They already have a consumer demand for the game.
If SquareEnix doesnt make it I will be convinced they just dont like money.

All old FFs get remade at one point in time. FF7 is no different.

We shouldnt be pushing them or it could ruin the experience. It takes skill, man power and time to remake a game. Most of the guys who worked on FF7 back in the days are doing something else. We shouldnt push. They already said it would come.

FF7 CC is not the end of the FF7 anniversary. Its gonna be the remake.

I think they should do FF8 remake too. I use to watch FF8 opening over and over again, never get tired of it. I played that game purely because of it's graphic, the first RPG to have realistic 3D characters instead of anime style. The gameplay is bad though, I agree, but please, remake FF8 with a new battle system!

After playing FFVII:CC, I am now playing through the first one again.....I even want to find a version of VIII so I can actually beat it again, and maybe even X....... Hoping maybe they will release something on the PSN for the FF games, but I doubt it...

My idea is that, all the FF games remade so far have been made on consoles which do not have the power of graphics that the PS3 has, if square were to remake it on the PS3 it'd take more time and of course not to let the fans down they want it to be perfect, I think that's the only reason why they're stalling the remake I just can't see why they wouldn't since this IS actually their biggest title.

It's only a question of When not if a remake will happen because it will. I would assume it will start production after XIII and Verses XIII come out. As awesome as FFVII CC is I doubt SE would give that team the task of doing a remake. I think all the FF's from VII-X should be remade because if the crystal Tools does what they say it will there will never be a reason to remake them again. They will be the cinematic masterpieces they were meant to be.

I think the main reason Square-Eniz hasn't announced the remake is because they don't want it to overshadow FFXIII and Versus. In matter of fact XIII and Versus would sale so much more if they packed in something releated to a VII remake with them like a demo nobody heard of yet.
