both are amazing visually, i prefer Uncharted 3 for the variety of environments and TLoU for the extremely solid gameplay and storytelling. in TLoU you never play it the same way and i love the strategy and tactic that should be used during fights.

The problem with U3 is that it's kinda too slow, they talk too much and action wasn't a huge part of the game compared to U2 which felt much more spectacular to me.
Now all i want is Uncharted 4 on PS4 in 2014. Make it happen Naughty Dog i know you can!

Yes but Uncharted 3 was still a great game. It has the best chase scenes ever to be made.

and that's because the story is much better and very deep in the last of us
also the gameplay offer tons of options in big areas and it's wide linear that offer exploring
it really something else than all the survival games and action games i have played

even though Uncharted 2 is one of the best games this gen

In your comment above, both have cliche stories? So games like Halo and COD has a more original story? name me games that are like uncharted and TLOU? atleast 3 games. I can only think of tomb raider. but halo and COD, almost all SCI FI First person shooter with aliens for enemies are more cliche.

Everything from Naughty Dog is "Equal" to me. Each of their games wether it is 1,2 and 3 etc has it's own charm.Sorry but I can't pick one which is greater than the other when it comes to Naughty Dog. :)

For my taste TLOU tops Uncharted just because of the universe and the more realistic gameplay. But Uncharted definately comes close in terms of fun. Both are incredibly well designed.

I enjoyed all the uncharted, but the first one does hope a special place in my heart.
I think it's still my fav because it was mostly on the same island and it seemed to flow better for the story.

I can't choose between them as I love both games.
They both have superb graphics, albeit TLOU has the more advanced graphics, and story lines and gameplay that grip you and pull you in better than any Hollywood movie.
The only difference is what you want out of a game.

Βoth games are amazing, but the Last of Us is in a whole other level...

Its storytelling is leaps above Uncharted as well as its gameplay. In fact I cannot find anything Unchafrted is better at compared to LOU.

Which in itself speaks volumes, because Uncharted is an amazing, unbelievable game by itself...

Its just that Naughty Gods are that good, to be able to raise the bar so much higher with each title they release.

It will be interesting to see what they can do with uncharted 4 on the PS4.
It will be hard to top Last of us with an IP thats already astablished and try to keep it fresh.... but if any one can do it, it's ND.

I have both games TLOU has the better campaign. I like UC3 multiplayer better. Both games are great but UC2 is still the best game I've ever played this gen.

I also enjoyed UC2 more than 3. I think when making UC3 ND were focusing more on the 3D aspect. I don't own a 3D TV, maybe that's the reason I didn't appreciate it as much as UC2.

UC3's story felt dull at times.. As if they didnt know what to do with it, where UC2 felt more balanced and better written..

I'd say TLOU... UC2 then UC3.

The Last of Us IS better than Uncharted 3 to me, but not enough really to shun Uncharted 3 or even properly pinpoint the actual edging out other than graphics.

The Uncharted series are popcorn action flicks while The Last of Us is a gripping horror drama. Gamewise, they're different genres too, Uncharted series being cinematic platform action while The Last of Us being survival action/survival horror.

Post Rubin/Gavin have really shown themselves to be a real anomaly this gen, and the founders should be proud of their successors at the helm.

The Last of Us is better game than all 3 Uncharted games combined, at least for me. I really don't like the gameplay of Uncharted games. I have a great time with TLoU and I really hope for some more TLoU in the future...

I did find the game play in uncharted 3 frustrating at times, as sometime Nathen would hide behind the wrong object or do the wrong thing and get shot.
So far I haven't had any of that in Last of us, so I really hope they take what they have control wise from Last of us into Uncharted 4.

It's hardto pick between U2 and U3, but TLoU is the better then both of them, great story, great characters(I couldn't wait for the next day to find out what happens next), awesome gameplay, altough enemies never reload

I think Uncharted 3 is as good as uncharted 2 but not better. The reason why people think that Uncharted 2 is better because it has for the first time, WOW factors in an action game. If uncharted 3 story came first im sure for people it will be the better game. Uncharted 2 set the bar in action pieces so high its almost impossible to beat it with the train level, the falling bldg etc. In uncharted 3 there is more set pieces but people will say, Ive already seen that one. But honestly I was quite dissapointed

SPOILERS for anyone that haven't finished Uncharted 3:

that I never saw the "Djinn" in the game. and the enemies were just hallucinations and your battling human enemies all the time. STill its supernatural like the first two but atleast you get to battle non human enemies. I kind of thought that marlowe would open the brass urn and the djinn will kill them, and drake will just run off because the know they are no match for the djinn. unless there is something in the story that says how to stop or contain the djinn.

Story and multiplayer was FAR better in TLOU, U3 honestly was the worst in the series, not for the mechanics/gameplay, graphics, design, or acting. but the the story was just.... off. it felt a bit incomplete. not only that but the game was also lacking the many extra features that uncharted is known for(and even TLOU had them) and the MP, even though i don't buy NDs games for MP, was just trying too hard to be like CoD IMO and ended up being less fun than U2 MP, and they royally fucked up the co-op in U3 except for the few story coop missions

Depends on what you're after. If you want a tongue-in-cheek, action-oriented treasure hunt, you'll likely prefer the Uncharted games. If you want a tense, meaningful journey with an affecting story that tackles complex, human themes, The Last of Us is the obvious choice.

I think the two are too different to be compared personally, and enjoyable for different reasons. Sure, they're made by the same developer, but they're remarkably unlike each other.
