Michael Engle: Dark is an amalgamation of vampire and video game clichés that I wish I could say is so bad it's good. Unfortunately, it falls flat on almost every level. The evolution of the action-adventure stealth genre has had its fair share of highs and lows. From the overhead perspective of Metal Gear Solid to the seamless fluidity between combat and stealth in the Arkham series, being clandestine has changed significantly over the past decade. Now think of a certain lore that has degraded over the past ten years. What comes to mind? Something about sparkles, something about Abe Lincoln, something about a show on HBO that isn't Game of Thrones…
Oh yeah! Vampires.
