The Japanese version of Square Enix’s Thief 4 will be voiced by popular voice actor Yuichi Nakamura as Siliconera reports. Probably best known for his roles as Cid Raines in Final Fantasy XIII, Trey in Final Fantasy: Type 0, Kurt Irving in Valkyria Chronicles III and many more famous video games, to see the full list of games he has been involved in, click on our wikipedia. Nakamura is a safe choice as he has had many voice acting experiences with Square Enix so this announcement comes as no surprise. If you haven’t seen the latest Thief 3 trailer we have the video below.
Square Enix announced its financial results and the continued strategy for the Medium-Term Business Plan that will span two more years.
Square Enix talks about developing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Nintendo Switch 2 in a behind-the-scenes interview.
Why do we think this is coming out on Switch 2 before Xbox? Any thoughts? The S2 is not more powerful than the Series S so it’s not a ‘lack of power’ issue. Perhaps the sales forecast is higher on S2 than Xbox so that’s maybe where their priority lies?
The Switch 2 version is really beautiful. It looked as good as the PS5 version.
Members of Square Enix recently made a remarkable discovery upon opening an old storage container at work that had been shut for close to 20 years: a cache of pristine, retro games that includes titles released for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, DOS computers, N-Gage, Nintendo Wii, and Amstrad CPC, among other platforms.
I kind of wish Square Enix would return to their roots… well, more so the PS1 era.
They found retro games and some are as old as 30 years ? So most of it wouldn't even be retro I imagine.
Weird thing is amstrad commodore and spectrum games are much older than 30 years mostly so how are the oldest ones 30 years ?
I hope he doesn't look like Ellen Page. J/K
I've lost all faith in SE to be honest. Square used to be my all time favourite developers, but they seem to have lost it in recent years. Unlike the poster below, I cringed when I found out that SE had something to do with Thief 4. I'll keep my eye on it though, just in case.
I became interested in Thief 4 when I noticed Square Enix working on it...
Would it have been so hard to put in "Yuichi Nakamura To Voice Garrett In Square Enix's (Japanese version of) Thief 4" or does the title have a character limit?
People... SE is the publisher, not the developer. Eidoes Montreal is working on Thief (they removed the 4 btw) and they're a fantastic developer (DX:HR was their first game).
bring back stephen russell, or change the characters name. Nothing wrong with Nakamura, this is just the role that Russell defined. its like if they changed darth vader's voice actor.
