Capcom: Dead Rising 3 couldn't have been achieved without Microsoft

Although Dead Rising 3 'would probably have seen the light of day' even without Microsoft's input, Capcom isn't sure it could have achieved it on its own.

Yup, Dead Rising 3 and Titan Fall look amazing, but there is no way on earth I'm buying an Xbox One. Sorry, but $100 more for weaker hardware, forced Kinect, no used games, mandatory 24 hour online checkins and all the other garbage Microsoft is spewing?

Gonna be honest. It looked great but such a huge change in direction. my issue though is with how Capcom showed emo. I know it's a work in progress and all, but if Capcom is gonna play the number game with us for F sakes don't have Hoards zombies standing around in frozen (Yes frozen, not walking in place or moving slightly, FROZEN liek ICE) poses. I doubt many people took note of it, but there were a lot of zombies not moving at all in that demo. Maybe I missed the explanation? It seems as if they had it set up so the game would trigger them in the demo when he entered a radius.

I'm just saying, nothing to do with the Xbox One, but Capcom really did play tricks with the zombie count. it's easier to have stilled than have additional moving stuff stress out the engine. I'm sure it cna handle it, it just bugged me when I noticed that.

did you watch that video? Did you even bother looking at those points? Have limited Sense? Well of course they do, but that doesn't excuse them from having none moving ones in masses.

Watch the video and pay attention. Look at when he gets into the car. Your telling me all those zombies should be frozen as an iceberg?

none of them move at all, they are touting zombies and in the next part "but they are still a threat". And this happens throughout the entire demo. Like I said, I'm not complaining about the Xbox One, I'm claiming at Capcom for pulling such a sneaky trick.

You are telling me, and this is literally the fundamental of every zombie, that with all the movement happening, NONE and I MEAN NONE OF THEM IN THOSE AREAS ARE GOING TO MOVE?

and it wasn't just the nearest ones going for the flare, he used that opportunity to run, and you can see the ones that were further still go after the flare.

Same as the first Dead Rising, it was on XB360 and not PS3 then part 2 was on both. Seems MS has a deal with Capcom when it comes to DR titles. But I didn't buy a 360 for the first one which I really wanted and the same goes this one.

I own all versions of Dead Rising, even having said that it does not change my stand on the DRM issue. I really am sorry, but I am not going to buy xboxone for DR3 like I did in the past with the 360. I'm really sorry. I don't want to lie to myself and pretend this is OK. That's not me, but you guys should still enjoy the game. I will be watching your playthroughs and please make me feel jelly.

Looks ok, but looks too many zombies imo.

I know this is that type of game, but i prefer the creepy, type zombie game.

Also i really wise people would stop waffling on about cloud, yes you could d/l stuff from it.

But it's not giving you tons of GPU/CPU power.

I think people also need to remember it's very early days in these consoles and nearer launch and after you'll get an idea of what to and what not to buy.

While I don't particularly disagree with a company glad-handing someone they're in bed with, because it does make sense, it is a pet peeve of mine when someone says or insinuates that a project or technology would not have been possible without the partnership. I guess you're entitled to you opinion on what makes for a good game (even though the platform bias is very blatant). But I'll just say I'm going to be buying multiplats on the more powerful system and the one where I actually own the copy of the game I purchase (not a license tied to my XBL account). And give the new Dualshock4 a chance... analog sticks and triggers are supposed to be vastly improved.
