It wasn't bad but I wish they clarified some more stuff about their system. Starting off with MGS5 was a great move.
I hope Sony has some great surprises up their sleeve. They have to talk about 3 systems and create high expectations. Should be a great battle. A nice ace would be a late sept or Oct release! 1 month ahead can really start a nice domino effect.

I'd have said it was the opposite, loud but irrelevant would sum it up for me personally. The almost complete focus on games was great but their inability to address gamers concerns really let them down. Not to mention kinect is probably the reason it's so damn expensive yet as a gamer we have absolutely no idea why we're paying so much for it. Or are we paying all that extra for a glorified microphone?

I thought their conference was good, but I don't want an X1, because I have more sense than to drop my consumer rights, denounce the ownership of all my games, and let publishers try and tell me what I can and cannot do with my physical disc that I bought. I won't spend $60 each for a game that essentially becomes a digital license whilst the disc becomes about as useful as a coaster.

I'm also not going to risk being stuck with a brick if and when I don't have Internet provision.

i agree i hope sonys system is better priced. i dont understand the need to have kinect with the new xbox. it just means the system is gonna cost more. why not give people the option it feels there forcing kinect onto people

Microsoft delivered the games. If THIS was the console reveal, my opinion on the Xbox One would be a complete reversal of what I think now.

However, because we already know about the 24-hour DRM, the restrictions, the online required, etc., they failed to convince me why we NEED these restrictions. Not a single aspect of the conference made me think "yeah, now I can understand why we have the 24-hour check in and the online-required".

The only game im really jealous of is Dead Rising 3. Im hoping its just a timed exclusive. Other exclusive games were good, but nothing I really have to play. Sorry, if you disagree, thats my opinion.

dead rising didnt seem to have any gameplay that would last you more then an hour. it looked off to me. way to many zombies, generic no real goals and such.
what looked ok was

halo but that was a cg trailer and im tired of halo

titanfall looked ok to but most these games are also on pc.

that troll spark game had some cool stuff you can do in it but i dont want to play a bunch of created levels like that. didnt have any charm to it and lbp already beat it to the punch.

not enough cool stuff that would make me get an xbox one over a ps4 especially with all the console restrictions.

sony will be just way better in my opinion.

However, I won't be getting an xbone because of:

I have to be honest, this was what I was looking for with their conference. It was pretty good overall, and nice looking games. Looks like MS is back in the game, but their policies are what still turn me off. And these policies are what will draw me to the PS4

My local Gamestop only had two pre orders left for Xbox One in only 45 minutes. I raced over there and put down $100 for the console and $10 for Both BF4 and FZ5.

GT's social media tracking platform doing polling had XB1 destroying Nintendo and PS4 30 minutes before the MSFT presser.

In that case you got played. GameStop knew the price of this before today. They had graphics ready right after the conference ended.

GameStop has a total allocation for the entire company, and then they ship out the number of units needed for each store based on what they have in pre-orders. It's how they do every pre-order for hardware.

They did the same "We're almost out of pre-order" crap for the Wii U.

WTF are you talking about? LOL I called and asked if XB1 was ready for pre order and she said they were in the process as we speak with MSFT and would be ready in a few minutes.

I called back a little later and she said they were taking pre orders. I asked her earlier how much was the pre order and she assumed around $50.

When I called the second time as I mentioned above, she said it was $100 and I said no way! to hee.

I asked her if I could just wait, if they have any in at a later date during that second call.

She said I only have a few left and I asked her when will she get some more in and she said she wouldn't.

I raced over to Gamestop and before I payed for the pre order I asked her if she was just pulling my leg to get me to put the money down and she said No I only have two left.

Nothing fanboyish about it. Just calling you out on your BS that each store gets a certain amount of units to pre-order. It's not how GS works. Not with any console ever. I called my local gamestop and asked the manager who knows me, and I go in there all the time and asked her if they have a specific allocation per store and she said no.

So, you either got played, or you're making stuff up for what I would assume to be fanboy reasons based on your posting history. Which is it? You played into marketing hype, or your a fan boy?

I did call them. I know almost all the employees there by name, and they know me. I'm in there twice a week or more. I simply asked if they had a limited number of pre-orders per store, and she said no. Asked me if I wanted one, I said no, said I'd be in tomorrow for a PS4 pre-order.

And yes I did check after my initial post.

Yes, GameStop as a whole gets an amount allocated to them. Then each store takes preorders based on that, and then the number of pre-orders determines how many get sent to a particular store. That is GameStop's policy. They do not limit the amount to a specific number per store.

But whatever. If people are interested they can call their local GameStop and see if it's available for pre-order. Or order on Amazon, or whatever. Ubisoft's presser is starting, so enjoy.

It was a good conference, but the only exclusive I saw of interest was Dead Rising 3. MGSV and Dark Souls 2 was the best games, but they are multiplatform.

But Dead Rising looked awesome, just not enough to sell the entire system to me.

Deadly I wouldn't say that I still won't be getting an Xbox cause you still can't play online for free, but I will say this I am really excited for next gen after seeing those games, you can tell they have so much more freedom this time around, there will be so many more types of gameplay, I can't wait to see what they come up with, mgs5 dayuum that blew me away just thinking about how every time you can try a different approach :-)

I don't want to see this being successful, not because it's Microsoft and Xbox, but because of the foolish policies they are trying to push.

Forza 5 is looking gorgeous. as long as they build on the last games, refine handling etc. It will be another winner for T10.

Yup all of the xbox consumers were neglected by microsoft for 3 yrs straight without a quality game ... ofcourse it will be awesome because for the first time you guys experience bunch of games that playstation gamers are getting every year. Not just halo, forza, gears of war all the time. But dont worry because 1/3 of those xboxone games are time exclusive and will come out to the ps4 after 1 year, so we aint missing anything. For microsoft effort ill give them 7.5/10 rating this E3. By the way where was those jrpg time exclusive that microsoft purchase during the xbox360 launched? Are all japanese developers jumping now to the ps4? :)

Agree 7.5 to 8.00 rating too. I was WOW with what the XboxOne is capable of, some very cool features. No doubt, XboxOne is going to sell a lot of systems even with the $499 price tag.

With Sony coming in around $399(two price point systems maybe?) and coming out this fall ready to battle, makes this generation of gaming very exciting indeed.
