[E3 ’13] Microsoft opens conference with Metal Gear Solid V

Microsoft opened its E3 press conference with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The announcement comes as a surprise because MSG has generally been reserved for PlayStation consoles.

The trailer highlighed how MSG V will be an open world game with real weather and various modes of transport. After the trailer, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick brought Hideo Kojima himself to briefly speak on the game.

No release date was announced.
