Ken McKown writes: So far the Wii U has seen its fair share of ports and older titles. The latest in that trend comes in the form of a forgettable little sniper action game released last year for 360 and PS3 called Sniper Elite V2. I originally reviewed the game and for what it was, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Fast forward to the Wii U release and it appears Rebellion has managed to somehow make a year old port feel rushed. The amount of missing features is staggering; especially considering it still carries the full retail price tag.
Jason was woefully unprepared for the slower-paced nature of Sniper Elite V2 — originally from the last-gen of consoles and now on practically everything (He played on his Switch). There’s no running and gunning, but there are certainly cool set pieces.
From Rebellion: "We’ve been delighted to see your response to our upcoming release of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. As an independent developer we value your support and try to be as transparent as we can.
For this reason we want to tell you about a small update to the boxed edition of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered in Europe and Australasia. The boxed edition in these territories will now be releasing three days later, on May 17th."
Carlos writes "2017 was a great year for the Xbox Backwards Compatibility program with many of our favourite 360 games made playable on Xbox One. That said, there are still a ton of highly requested games yet to arrive in the program and with 2018 set to see even more added, it makes sense that the first of the years new additions are now being given the treatment. This past week has seen six new games made backwards compatible, but which ones are worth returning to once more?"
"Six new games arrive via Backwards Compatibility"
Does anyone not see the funny side to this statement? I do... lol
I love the Sniper elite series & V2 is a great game & as I still have my 360 copy I'm good to go. Great news & it's free for me too.
This game could have been great for Wii U instead its basically just an insult and gives gamers another good reason to hate on the console.
