gamrReview's Xavier Griffiths: "Honestly I could not imagine myself handing my 3DS with SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition already booted up to a friend to try it out for themselves, let alone suggest anyone pay to download it. It's simply just not worth your time or gaming dollar."
Let's make one thing clear right off the back, if endless tunnel runners aren't your thing, then this or the regular SpeedX 3D probably aren't for you. This game provides a basic experience that feels like its worth every dollar spent on it, getting exactly what you paid for, and still manages to be fun even after extended periods of time. Not many smartphone app ports can pull that off, and SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition does so expertly.

"I love games that challenge my reaction time! I normally download games on my iPhone that are similar to SpeedX 3D and I play them on the go all the time. Now, I can enjoy a fast paced game that allows me to maneuver around a track dodging objects. The game utilizes 3D graphics to make the game unique and more compelling."
Cyburn writes : "The sequel to Gamelion’s SpeedX 3D arrived on eShop last week and brings a more stable experience. That said it lacks some of the features of it’s predecessor, which is an odd move for a sequel.
The game itself looks like a demo run of F-Zero/Wipeout. The objective is pretty much to race through the infinite track while avoiding the obstacles. As you advance the obstacles will become harder and faster and despite being a racing game, you are the only player. Combined this gives the game a Tron-like vibe".
