Turbine has recently announced an interesting new preorder bonus for the upcoming Shadowfell Conspiracy expansion for Dungeons & Dragons Online, the popular MMORPG.
It's amazing to me to think that Dungeons and Dragons Online launched over nine years ago. While the mmorpg never reached the heights of games like World of Warcraft (which few ever has), it has stood the test of time and is still putting out new content. MMO-Play present plenty of reasons why gamers still love DDO.
Dungeons and Dragons has been around for forty years. The mechanics of the game and its various settings have intrigued players all over the world. The settings for D&D have been numerous, from the original Greyhawk to the incredible Forgotten Realms to lesser known settings, such as Planescape and Ravenloft. There are also two solid mmorpg games based upon the D&D game, but each is radically different from one another. MMO-Play throws them in the ring together in a D&D throwdown: DDO versus Neverwinter.
One of the great things about mmorpg games, especially fantasy-themed ones, is that the developers can craft interesting and unique zones for players to adventure in. The settings can be almost anything that people can imagine, from a wind-swept frozen tundra to a hellish dimension populated by demons. One online game that has a number of interesting zones to explore and conquer is Dungeons and Dragons Online. MMO-Play offers up a list of the top five zones in Dungeons and Dragons Online.
