Futuristic weapons, smart-ass one-liners, four player co-op, team kill bonuses – all of those sound exciting, right? The newest title from Insomniac Games, Fuse, brings together those ideas into a game that has great ambition but never even comes close to it; falling short and missing its mark. Running and gunning through countless enemies, taking them out with special weapons infused with an alien substance called Fuse is a blast. Chaining take downs from each character’s unique weapon and seeing your score keep racking up adds a level of excitement that most games miss out on. Playing alone with your three partners controlled by A.I. is a chore that no one should have to deal with; but teaming up with three friends makes Fuse more enjoyable to play.
