Nintendo Threatens the YouTube Gaming Community
Yesterday, YouTuber Zach Scott posted on Reddit that Nintendo had started doling out “Content ID Match” on certain Nintendo 3DS titles. To be clear, these matches are not the same as copyright strikes. With copyright strikes, the copyright holder usually wants the video taken down. With an “Content ID Match”, the copyright holder is laying claim to the ad revenue associated with the video.
