this is the toca franchise by codemasters with a new name.
this series has always had extremely good reviews.but they are as tough and
unforgiving as gt on the simulation front.this is hardcore simulation.

I think I may actually have to pick this up. The game looks like fun and it's pretty enough. The PR guys did a great job on the editing for the clip, really gets the blood pumping. Liked the music too.

I think the most people knew that Pro Street will turn out to be bad.
1. The Devs didn't make any good games for quite some time
2. They didn't even work 2 years on the title (little bit more than a year I think).
Codemasters have made some great games so I think this one will be great. Still I knew the first screenshots were doctored

That game looks good, but i still prefer Gran Turismo 5. GT5 will be the most realist race-game ever, not only because of the graphics, but the cars-controls are like the real ones.

Where's the "Actual INGAME FOOTAGE"? None of that is what i'd consider "INGAME", which is someone actually PLAYING THE GAME.

Instead they give us some pretty FMV's, which prove nothing.

It is in game which it states from the beginning of the video. Ever heard of replay vids from different angles. The video specifies exactly what it is showing off which is destruction and along with seeing the graphic look of the game.

The trailer was surprising good...its has my attention. All replay footage using the "in game" engine, but i look forward to seeing some actual in game footage. It could be a promising game if it is intense as the trailer. Codemasters normally do a descent job with there racing titles, so i will keep an eye on this one.

I love Gran Turismo, but I can't stand the indestructible cars. To me, damage is so integral with racing that a simulation which excludes it is missing a huge piece of the puzzle. I would gladly sacrifice a few polygons to have realistic damage, and I think that is where this game is headed. Hell, burnout looks really good and the crashes are stupendous.
I think one of the devs at polyphony said that they wouldn't do damage until they could do every aspect of it realistically. That's a great goal to have, but like I said above, damage is in integral part of racing. Being able to grind around the outside of a corner at 200 mph just takes the "reality" feeling out of that "simulation."
At any rate, I've heard great things from the TOCA series and I'll be watching how this game shapes up in the coming months.

Last time i looked GT5P doesnt have damage or visual tunning, or performance degradation or vibrant graphics or a huge selection of amazing hyper cars.

GT is a bland game.

I can tell you right now that GT5-P is too sterile its missing fine detail, the damage and the SIM setting you can turn on will make this a must buy.

Have you ever played Forza 2 with the MS wheel, its absolutely stunning. Realistic force feedback, realistic oversteer snap, mad sideway action!!!

I can tell you now, when i played GT at GDC this year with the DFP GT that they had set up i felt angry, it had none of these things^^. It felt slow, boring, bland. GT has No sense of speed and the physics feel bouncy (again). Really this is just my opinion and i'll always stick to it.

The game looks great, but I don't think that is actual gameplay footage. This looks like it's simply the game's opening cinematic. If it's being done using the game engine, then that's cool, but otherwise, it's still just a cinematic. I am still really looking forward to this game, though.

Until you are able to view the reflections of one car in another they will never be photo-realistic. Raster engines are only capable of so much at the moment.

I played Forza2 to death and still playing it, and whille is no doubt better than gt4, but it doesn`t come close to gt5 from whatever angle i look at it. I was so hyped over forza2 but it was a let down for me. I just hope grid will be good enough untill gt5 comes out.

Oh yeah no game looks "photo real yet". you can't just have a detailed car with messed up half-assed environments.

Now the realism and staying true to the SIM genre is another story.

Looking really positive. Reminds me of a PGR clip, but more focused on track racers'.

Good number of different types of racing cars, from single seaters to LeMans racers, Japanese super gt's and drifts' and a lot of American muscle.

Will have to watch-out for this title.
