While few specifics are known about its gameplay, story, and release date, Playground Games' Fable reboot is nonetheless expected to arrive in 2025.

Fable 4's development seems to be well underway, and a look at the original trilogy reveals a few elements the upcoming title needs to reprise.
One of the biggest reveals at this year's Xbox Games Showcase was the latest Fable trailer. After a lengthy stint of silence, Playground Games gave us a look at bits of the title, albeit in a trailer that was mostly made up of CGI nonsense headlined by comedian Richard Ayoade, who is playing a rather frustrated giant.
Molyneux asked about what he thought about the Fable reveal.

The exact same thought came to mind when I read the headline. It's been so long since we've heard his lies and over ambitions.

Well, he's not associated with it. Giving interviews talking about features never at any point mentioned with devs let alone introduced.

Also, whose defending Molyneux? Wasn't his last game a literal ripoff with him offering a prize but not giving it?

It was bad enough Fable 2 and Fable 3 felt like it forced co-op friendly buddy buddy crap onto you.

First I'll say that this isn't even a rumor, it is one person trying to take someone words and put them into a context that fits with a rumor he is trying to start.
A lot of people love Fable and I'm a huge fan, Lionhead was actually hiring people to work on a MMORPG, which might be set in the Fable universe, or it might be a totally new IP.
Not sure why they would release a Fable game as free to play when they sell like 5 million copies each, it would be counterproductive. I'm looking forward to seeing the facts on the next Xbox, the facts on games for the next Xbox, and the bit of crow eating a lot of people are going to have to do :)
