MW4 follows the Modern Warfare reveals timeline

I'm honestly getting bored of fighting in modern settings. I want call of duty to go back to world war settings. I might not have said that when modern warfare 1 and mw 2 were released, but I'm saying it now simply because of the great lack of world war titles.

I'm just bored of CoD games in general. The only refreshing thing about the franchise now is the player choice that was in the BO2 campaign, hopefully that will return. But they really need to update the graphics. It's undeniable that the once great looking franchise is now showing its age.

The multiplayer needs an overhaul. Maybe a level editor can be added to the next CoD title. And for the love of God, if you're gonna make a Vita title, put some effort into it or don't do one at all.

The will never have a level editor, they will sell rip off map packs for as long as they make money.

They cant even give us free old maps or reduce to cost of these old maps by much.

Just looked today by chance and the call of duty
2 map pack is 800msp, FFS that was a XB360 launch title.

Look at Halo. Every major installment since 3 has offered a level editor and almost 6 years and two installments later, people are still finding new things to do with it.

Map packs would be maps for matchmaking as well as new levels to edit. That's how they'd still sell map packs. Treyarch map packs would sell on zombies alone.

You forgot Skills. People in Heaven have different levels. Not all the same. That's why some people go further into knowing GOD and rewarded for doing that. If you applied that on any game you will get a special thing. People love zombies because it's challenging and mysterious. Same happened to cod4 multiplayer that's why we had a great experience from it. But when you look at the other cod games all people play the same way because if they play in different way it will make them lose. They made call of duty appealing to every one. That's the problem we have. It's too simple..

I prefer futuristic warfare games or alien invasion shooters. Brings more dynamic gameplay elements.

I'd actually be interested to see where that would go. With aliens and future, you have a much more dynamic environment to play with.

With WWII you have to work off stories, which are all basically the same. With modern combat, you basically pick a "realistic" enemy and "realistic" scenario or reason to go to war.

With the future, anything can happen. With aliens, they can be anything from human like, to creatures. The reason to go to war can be any numerous things. I mean in Killzone you are technically the bad guys since it was the ISA that pretty much started it all.

This is what happened last generation. They hit it off with WWII games, and suddenly every developer in the world with access to an FPS engine was making WWII titles.

This generation was modern warfare.

They should release a multiplayer only with every map, gun, perk, attachment, and killstreak (scorestreak) in one box. Then close this chapter of cod and start a new one. Maybe then people will find another good series to bash on.
