geimaku: "With the re-release of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster, it would be nice to tell you what exactly is new in the package and what was already there back in the old Playstation 2. This game is one of the weaker examples of software revisions and updates before DLC was commonplace in the industry, with Square Enix being one of the most fond of such practices."
Cultured Vultures: We’ve rounded up the most well-aged PS2 games out there, just in case you’ve been meaning to revisit some childhood memories, or even if you’re checking out the PlayStation 2 for the very first time.
id throw haunting ground into the mix. it still looks fantastic.
but i still dont quite understand why we never got a dragon quest 8 remaster for ps4. even the damn 3ds got one.
Silent Hill 3 was straight up sorcery. It has better hair animation than most modern games, which is wild to me.
Take it down the memory lane with this ultimate list of the best PlayStation 2 games of all time. Just the best of the best right here.
It's so disappointing that to this day, I have not seen a game match what BLACK offers in an FPS.
The greatest console of all time !!!!
The last console from when gaming was pure, games didn't take 5 years to release, no online only, no half finished games, no mtx.
Ps2 was just banger after banger after banger.
It will always be my favourite.
It’s been 20+ years since the time that gave us Mulholland Drive and “Bootylicious”, meaning this look at the best games of 2001 is going to make some of you feel very old very quickly.
Well, I was having a similar thought. I'll start with FINAL FANTASY X:
Square Enix have confirmed that FINAL FANTASY X HD REMASTER will be based on its International version, now that means that it'll almost certainly include the following:
. Expert Sphere Grid;
. Dark Aeons & Penance;
. Minor changes to dialogue;
. New Equipment and Weapons abilities (such as Ribbon).
Now for FINAL FANTASY X-2 HD, where there are two different arguments:
We also have confirmation that FINAL FANTASY X-2 HD REMASTER will be based on its International versions, however, there has been no mention of the 'Last Mission' part of the game. The original was known as FINAL FANTASY X-2 INTERNATIONAL + LAST MISSION which tells me that either we won't get the 'Last Mission' part of the game in the HD REMASTER, especially as it was never recorded with English dialogue, and I don't believe they'll bring the voice actors back. This means that we will almost certainly get the following:
. General tweaks to the look, feel, speed and dialogue;
. Three extra Dresspheres;
. New Garment Grids;
. Creature Create system (including FFX characters e.g. Seymour).
Now, the only confirmation for all of this information is the link below. However, within the article (written by Ben Bateman - Central Community Manager for Square Enix), he mentions the following:
"The International version of FINAL FANTASY X-2 never made it to European shores before, so there’s quite a chunk of additional content for you to dive into!"
Where he says, "quite a chunk of additional content", is he referring to Last Mission (which is a huge chunk), or just the International version? Because the International version doesn't actually have a MASSIVE amount of additional content. The link is below.
What do you guys think?
